A craft beer event you don’t want to miss!
What an exciting time for craft beer in Oklahoma!
Here at Oklahoma State University, we have been so fortunate to have the privilege to work with such an amazing event in Wine Forum of Oklahoma. This event has been our cornerstone in transforming our curriculum into action, as well as being a tremendous fundraiser for student scholarships. We are always left in awe at the generosity and support for our program from our patrons. We thank you!
With Wine Forum’s success, the changes in the legal landscape for craft brewers in Oklahoma, along with the incredible quality Oklahoma brewers are producing–naturally (these are college students we’re talking about here!!) our students were begging, pleading, and screaming to do a Craft Beer Forum of Oklahoma! So of course we obliged!
The inaugural Craft Beer Forum of Oklahoma on April 7th, 2018 is a learning experience for the students and faculty alike. Students have already had early successes in selling brats and pretzel necklaces for homecoming, creating the Craft Beer Forum of Oklahoma sign for the homecoming sign contest, participating in Harvest Carnival chili cook off with a “beer chili”, and more. Our Craft Beer Forum of Oklahoma class in the Spring is sure to make for a good time as approximately 100 students come together to celebrate, plan, and execute this unique event that you won’t want to miss.
We will be continuously working on updating our website as we receive commitments from brewers, chefs, and sponsors. We will also be revealing our keynote speaker (so exciting!), and educational sessions to feature. This isn’t just a regular craft beer festival, Craft Beer Forum is all about the education. Whether it is learning how to cook with craft beer in your recipes, or exploring international beer styles, Craft Beer Forum of Oklahoma has learning opportunities for all participants. Personally? I’m most excited about our interactive luncheon that will have a Cicerone (beer expert) face off with a Sommelier (wine expert) in the ultimate food and beverage pairing experience.
We are so excited to have you be a part of this event, and we hope you will join us for a pint in April. Until then, look for more blog posts, updated participating breweries, and more. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or e-mail me directly at email@example.com.
