“We think beer is neat, we are just trying to make it neater.”
Joel Irby, Stillwater native, began his career at Boulder Brewing, located in Colorado, as a shipping assistant to packaging where he practiced bottling and kegging for a year and a half prior to brewing beer. In 2010, Irby began brewing for Avery Brewing and for four years brewed quality beer for the company.
After almost ten years of brewing, Irby found himself moving back home to Oklahoma with the excitement and ideas that took off as Stonecloud Brewing Company at the Historic Sunshine Laundry Building in Downtown Oklahoma City. Irby’s philosophy to brewing starts with two words, quality and consistency. Irby even hired a microbiologist to help set the framework for Stonecloud. Each batch of beers at Stonecloud is brewed skillfully and tactfully to create a great batch everytime. Irby also enjoys branching out and trying new things when it comes to brewing and enjoys the feedback of beer lovers and Stonecloud customers.
Stonecloud Brewing Company opened its doors in July of 2017. Stonecloud Brewing offers the classics as well as popular brews such as Neon Sunshine, Astrodog, and Havana Affair that can be found across the state of Oklahoma.
We are very pleased to welcome Joel Irby to Craft Beer Forum of Oklahoma as our 2020 Honorary Chair.
